Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who would become Comaneci's coach in later years found her around the age of six. Comaneci competed for the first time in the 1969 national junior championships. She finished 13th. The following year she became champion. In 1972, during the communist nations' meet for junior athletes before the Olympics she won three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she won the junior champion in all aspects. She won four gold and one silver medals in her senior debut international competition, held in 1975. It was the first time she competed as a senior. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first female to do the backward double salto in an unmounting from uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne in the world of entertainment started when she was a teenager. With her sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol's professional career started in the entertainment industry in her teens. She started her career as a figure skater, performing alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around named Ice Capades. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performances.
