Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
A baby was strapped to my back as another crawled around in the playpen. I spent 12 hours days for months sanding and taking wallpaper off, all while carrying one kid. Ha! The home was beginning to look nice, but there was a lot that needed to be left. It would take an enormous amount of effort and my personal favorite brands interiors to decorate this place. To keep in my budget I took my sons along to search for treasures in estate sales. The weekly ritual was that we would walk through garage and estate sales on Saturdays and Thursdays and purchase a variety of old and new pieces. Then I would spend working on my projects on our front lawn. Furniture looked this way... and that's where I found my love for restoring. I continued to work on furniture long after we furnished our house. The local market had space for me to market my items. In the end, I was stuffed with too numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the space available. I started having open houses at my house where over 1 000 people came through on the span of a weekend. They could purchase anything they wanted on the first floor. Growing Days is the result of this. Not only was my business flourishing, but I was also growing our family of four. It was like I was able to find the perfect equilibrium between motherhood and starting my new venture. Growing Days fit perfectly. The year 2013 was the year my daughter Nora was our fourth baby. My business was going well but I was in need of a break. I took a break from creating furniture for vintage homes, and I slowed down my speed and stayed at home to help my children. This was precisely what I required. After a few months that the phones started to call. The people who called me were needing help with their interior decorating and home renovations. These were mostly customers who visited my home to purchase furniture. Then I slowly took on new clients in my own way. In the end, I had many clients and I was running an enterprise of renovations to homes. When you first spoke to me about your home remodeling business I was astonished. Actually I still kind of laugh when I think about the idea.
