Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor, who gained notoriety for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the Telefilm Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC show of similar name, Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Swanson is a native of California. She began acting at a very young age. She started her career working in the field of advertising, appearing in a variety of commercials. She debuted on television in the NBCs It's Your Move sitcom show in 1984. The actress made her debut on the big screen in romance comedy Pretty in Pink. Swan, known for her breath-taking voice and smooth blonde hair, has appeared in various roles on the side in the past couple of years. She was awarded an award called the Young Artist Award in 1989 for the Best Young Actress in Horror or the Mystery Motion Picture in the film Flowers in the Attic.
